State Judicial Elections are among the most critical.  They make decisions that affect our lives every day.
In particular, they can help protect our Commonwealth from undemocratic gerrymandering in the 2020 redistricting.

Justice Debra Todd – – Retain on the Supreme Court

    • If successfully retained, she will be in line to become the first woman Chief Justice in the almost 300 year history of the PA Supreme Court
      • Look for the separate retention question on your ballot and vote “YES” to retain her
      • Elected to the Superior Court in 1999
      • Elevated to the Supreme Court in 2007

Judge Dwayne Woodruff – 2017 PA Supreme Court

              • Studied law at Duquesne University while playing for the Steelers from 1979 through 1990,
                • Undergraduate Degree from the University of Louisville
                • J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, 1988
              • Currently, serves as a Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas judge, mostly in the family division, since election in 2005; Retained in 2015.
              • PA Bar Association gave “Recommended” rating; Endorsed by PA State Democratic Party

Carolyn Nichols

              • Law degree from Temple University
              • MBA from Eastern University
              • PA Bar Association- “Recommended” rating
              • Currently, a criminal court judge in Philadelphia

Deborah A. Kunselman

              • Elected in 2005 to Judge on the Beaver County Court of Common Pleas where she currently serves
              • Undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University
              • J.D. from the University of Notre Dame
              • PA Bar Association – “Highly Recommended” rating

Maria McLaughlin

              • J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1992
              • B.S. from Penn State University in 1988.
              • Judge McLaughlin is a member of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar
              • Currently a family court judge in Philadephia
              • PA Bar Association – “Highly Recommended” rating

Geoff Moulton

              • Appointed by Gov. Wolf to Superior Court in August 2016 through December 2017
