From Senator Bob Casey
The way I see it, Americans have a reasonable expectation that their online browsing history will stay private.
But Washington Republicans just undermined that right by repealing measures that would have prevented internet service providers from selling your online information to the highest bidder without your permission.
This attempt to chip away at personal online privacy to turn a profit is just the latest example in a long line of decisions that hurt everyday Americans. Way too often, Republican politicians have enabled big corporations to stack the deck against the American people. Enough is enough.
Big corporations should not be able to simply buy and sell a person’s web history without their permission. That’s why I’m proud to say I voted against this intrusive measure, but I need you to speak out with me to make sure the GOP majority hears us:
Thanks for speaking up,
